Memoir

Has anyone ever made a difference in your life that you knew would make an impact on you for the rest of your life? Even if you only got to know that person for a little while?

I know I have.

Four people. My best friends all year. They taught me to appreciate so much more, they coaxed out the real me that doesn't pretend to be shy or hesitate to make a sarcastic comment or try to stifle her own laughter. I could open up to those four, tell them my worries, my fears, or little random things that would only make sense to me. We had personal jokes that nobody besides us three would get. We had such good times. I understood what life felt like.

Two of them are in-person people, two girls who I met near the beginning of the year. Two of them are people I met last summer from Hogwarts. I cannot refer to one set of people as real-life because all four of them are real to me. They're really great people.

My friends have made a difference in my life.
