The Monthly [In]Sanity Check - April 2003 Site Review Whoo hoo! The day I published the first newsletter, one of my best friends asked me to review her site! Hehehehe. The original guidelines for the site review can be found here. ---------------- Lily Chelstane's Mostly Original Site 1) First impression - I've seen the site before, and it's very pink. And very white. And very organized (well, as organized as a free layout gets ;) ). There are some visual aids which catch your eye (the dude and his jeep!!) immediately, and the introduction is very humorous (along with the rest of the site!). 15/15. 2) Navigation - The links (along the side) are very clearly marked (well, for the most part... "custom page" was a bit confusing, heh), there are also some links piled on at the bottom (such as the guestbook, the blonde's e-mail ;), and a plea to vote for her site). Pretty easy to understand, if ya ask me. All links work, you can access every page from the main page. Off-site links don't seem to open in a new window, but it doesn't matter much, as the site isn't in frames. 10/10. 3) Text - Titles are clearly marked with bold, cyan text; paragraphs are pink. Everything's in an easy to read font (Tahoma?). Very easy to read and for the most part, to understand (although, it does seem kind of odd that she appears to have other voices in her head...). Good introduction ("Welcome, dudes and chicks!") that sums up the site nicely. Although there is the occasional typo (we all make them... well, 'cept me ;P ), there are absolutely no spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation problems. 20/20. 4) Content - Pretty good, considering Ara only has the time in short little bursts, far between. She writes for an audience, and, frankly, rocks at it. Very humorous person here, folks. The site is lacking some content, but she knows it (eh... it's kinda maybe sorta probably hopefully pretty obvious, to her at least). The site is made up of four pages, the index, the pictures, the links, and the miscellaneous page. Don't really have anything plausible to suggest, as the girl doesn't have too much time to access the internet. 35/50. 5) Anything else - I love your site Ara. :D Makes me laugh, hehe.
