An Ode to the Man Who Made My Teddy Bear
I want to thank
Whoever made this bear
With its cheapest stuffing
And polyester hair
For if I didn’t
have my bear
Who would keep me cozy at night?
Who would dullen the dullness
Of my dull room and instead make it bright?
And if I didn’t
have my bear
Then who would sit with the stuffed cow?
Or even, when the cat gets bored
Would listen to its meow?
Yes, I’m
glad he made my teddy bear
Whoever he might have been
‘Cause I just gotta love my bear
With his little embroidered grin
