Maybe
Life's so full of
pain and hurt
And with your words come those stains
Those nightmares that I can weaken and ignore
But there's always a tainted mem'ry
Maybe I will be
a flower
I bloom ev'ry morning, die ev'ry night
I can reach for the stars in the sky
And then I wilt away again
Life's so dreary,
life's so tough
The road to take is always rough
There's always yet another bump
Some days I feel I've had enough
Maybe I'll be a
fly
To live one day and then to die
Yes, that life seems so simple
And then I'll just be gone again
Life's so lonely,
have you heard the silence?
Maybe this one can be a friend
These people are so hard to deal with
When you cannot pick and choose
Maybe I'll be a
star
To shine brighter than the others
To be recorded, to be remembered
To glow longer than I'm there
