Let go of the
wild bird
A captive leaves its spirit behind
Let the dog run free
In the fields where it wants to be
Loosen the leash
You keep around me
Stop making me perfect
Just let me be me
Stop telling
me what I should do
Have faith in what I can
Stop frowning when I do my thing
I'll follow the path I find
Don't rush me
down a well-trod path
I'll find and make my own
Don't push me here and lead me there
'Cause I'll just run away
