Ignorance
Some
days I wish
I could reach for
A life of bliss.
One
in which
I am free to believe
That everything's perfect.
Everything's balanced.
A frame
of mind
When at least something
Is right among the wrong.
Just
let me soar.
Weave in and out of the
Clouds, singing my song.
Just
let me win.
Be the one to shout for joy
In a room full of masked envy.
Just
let me fly.
For once, to succeed
With a solid piece
Of peaceful mind.
Before
I go numb
Can you promise me
That I can be granted
This ideal bliss?
But
in the back of my mind
A voice echoes, sinister
Do not wish to not know.
Do
not wish to not know
Of the horror around us
If you don't know, you can't help
Don't wish for ignorance.
