Childhood memories
Disorder
And freedom
Internal conflict

Chipped nails
Rusty rails
Seashells
Sublime

Messy meals
Noisy wheels
Splashing puddlings
Falling in mud

Moving on
Holding strong
Wave
And they're gone

Long rides on trains
Dropping the reigns
Loneliness
On top of the world

Inspiration
Deprivation
Wonderment
And scolding

Cricket chirps
Baby burps
Bumps in the road
Shoulder loads

No more time
Cannot rhyme
Thinking hard
Regret

Misty water
Never caught her
Dusty sunlight
Fear of bliss

Lost in pain
Too much rain
Summers spent well
With good friends

Weekends alone
Missing the cologne
Of a memory
Wasted dreams

Child's time capsule
Buried in shelves
Christmas excitement
With too many elves

Holidays coming
Holidays ending
Bittersweet joy
Peaceful sigh

Overpopulation
Fear of the future
Bad choices
Unheard voices

Hiding in the attic
Balloon static
Dandelion sidewalks
Dust from chalk

Tasty mittens
Feeling smitten
Riding hay rides
Greeting the day

Writing a letter
It's all for the better
Smiles in sadness
And whispers in joy

Randomness to the extreme. Started as a list of ideas for poems and stories, then I had to get poetic with it... and got this. The final version was different, but I think I lost it, so this is directly from my poetry journal. Eh... I liked it better when I wrote it, now it's just a sorry excuse of poetry... at least there's imagery. Dated October 13th, 2004.
