Alone, yet in a crowd
I'm waiting, I'm worrying
I'm crying inside,
Wishing for what I'll never have....
They know I'm not
listening
So they don't bother to ask
When they look, I smile falsely
When they ask, I am fine.
Alone yet in a crowd
I'm wishing, I'm wanting
I'm sighing inside
Hoping for what will never be....
They know I'm not
listening
So they don't bother to wonder
When they look, I'm same as always
When they ask, I am fine.
Alone, yet in a crowd
I'm wondering, I'm watching
I'm dying inside
Feeling what I shouldn't feel....
They know I'm not
listening
So they don't bother to notice
When they look, I hide my expression
When they ask, I am fine.

Yeah. Nothing to do with me, as always. Mmm... what else...? I wrote this during lunch then recalled it from memory since I didn't have the slip of paper I wrote it on anymore. I kinda like how it turned out, actually. Dated February 11th, 2003.
