End
The crickets chirp
The dragonflies hum
Trees shiver
The world gets colder
Goodbye summer
Come again soon
I'll miss you when the days are short
I'll see you when it's green again
I'm walking through
this autumn haze
Remember the good old summer days?
Around me, red leaves swirl
Golden smiles sadly mark the end of warm
The water sparkles
in the sunset
The last frog jumps away
The geese escape, the naked trees glow
A soft smile is on my face
The last flowers wilt
It starts to rain
I pull my jacket closer
The world is sad too
And I lay down in
the sunset
Holding onto my heart
But it is lost with the leaves and the wind
I will return

Pretty different from my normal stuff, huh? Well, maybe not by much. I wrote this on a weekend, and experienced one of the last days of summer. :( Dated September 6th, 2003.
