Ashes
Your hatred for
him is like a fire
Yet you hide it so well when he is near
I get both sides, lean one way, then another
I watch the ashes build up in fear
Believe it or not
I do listen to all you say
I do listen to both of you
And my opinions differ from yours
But for now that
is not needed
A mistake that shall remain unheeded
And I'll keep watching the fire burn
And I'll keep washing away those ashes
I hear he's stupid,
I hear he's obsessed
And by the way, thanks for the extra burden
I hear you take 'way the icing, that you're always gone
Thank you so much for the extra weight to be carrying
I take in all you
say
But that doesn't mean I agree
'Cause I get swayed one way, then another
But I'm the one who's always hurt
