12.28.04 @ 10:41AM - A million new gifted dolls - six ones that weren't here before in from others, and two new ones in to others. Don't adopt any of them, though. However, there is a new doll in casual which is adoptable. :)
Note to Ara, Eloria, and Shauna: AHHH! I will get your Christmas gifts done! Ahh! I'm on dolly block or something, but they will get done before Christmas vacation ends! Even if I have to become a Frankenstein with no sleep to finish them! Promise! (And Ara, that's no small promise. Yours is way complicated, lol.)
So yes. The world is round, and I'm still wrapping up Christmas gifts. What else is new? x_x
Yeah, so maybe I won't be redoing this site as I intended. That's more than a small thing that can be done in a few days... that would take weeks. I dunno, maybe I'll start working on a doll site (so that my dolls and gifts aren't in different places) and my Fogbutton Designs site, though those will probably be put on the backburner until summer, too. Le sigh. Someday, right? At least I can get a little hold page on fogbutton.com so people know what's coming. I really should update my fan fictions though, before doing fun stuff like that... ahhh....

Wow, it's been two days shy of a month of no updates. I really need to sweep things around here more often, there's dust collecting in places I can't reach. O_o
I have 10 days left of winter break, and after I finish Christmas gifts (yes, I'm saying this on the 23rd... heh heh heh... they might be a day or two late because I'm going to a friend's house later, too), I intend to use the rest of the time to totally redo this site. I want to get a new layout up, new CSS, change the organization, delete some dumb pages, combine others, the works. And start my design website. How much of this I'll actually get done is a mystery, but, hey, I'm being optimistic.
I opened my presents yesterday, and I got Photoshop 7! Buahahaha. Now I shall wreak havoc designing some neat new images for this site. It's so much cooler than Elements, and I have fond memories of Elements, even. ^^
I'm hoping to take pictures of it at some point after I've finished it, but I've put together most of a collage on a journal that I've dubbed the journal of 9th grade doom. I kinda stole the idea from Ashton, but yeah. O_o It's one awesome collage, man, dad actually let me print in color to try out the new printer. ^^
As for the site redo and adding things, I plan to start playing around with ColdFusion; namely, I want to try and get a quiz up here. If you have any ideas for a quiz you'd like to see me make, let me know. I also want to update Margin Man, two of the fan fiction stories I have going at the moment, and redo the me section entirely. And once I send them, I'll be putting up Christmas gifts (as well as the ones I've recieved). I want to play around with the camera some more, so you may see more pictures of me in the future. I want to scan two of the pictures someone took of me during last weekend's karate tournament. (By the way, I'm now an orange first stripe and have learned my new form, just need to perfect fighting stance. ^^) Let's see, what else do I want to do... start a new section, but that's still a work-in-progress secret kind of thing at the moment.

11.18.04 @ 3:52PM - Meh. I've really had a hard time updating this lately... I think anything major you're going to hear from me until winter vacation would be in DoaSO rather than here. I have a bunch of ideas I would like to add to this site, but I simply don't think I'll have time to do so until then. (Although, I have Thursday to Sunday this weekend and Thursday to Monday next weekend off school... so hey, who knows.)
I have a ton, and I mean a ton, of poetry and several short stories that I've written that I'll need to put here; I'm thinking I'll only put the short stories I posted in DoaSO already here, though, I'm not going to put all my short stories here anymore. Poetry will still go into my archive, that's where I look to find any poetry I've written, so I kind of need it. I also need to keep working on my fan fiction archive as well, but that can wait until I've updated my fan fictions Switched and Side Effects, because that's more urgent.

11.07.04 @ 9:30PM - I just finally got around to seeing Shrek 2. It was awesome, and Puss in Boots is hilarious. Tee hee. The *eyes*....
I've recently been quite involved in, well, trying to finish as many good-quality stories for Scholastic Writing as I can. Scholastic could be my debut into the writing world... or something. So far I'm submitting Faerie, Warmth, an adapted memoir from DoaSO entitled Life Is Short, several poems, and an adapted 'humorous' journal entry I wrote in English. I also have four or five ideas that I really want to get written. The problem? It's all due in very early December, and it's almost mid-November. Heh heh. Three weeks to write four or five short stories... should be challenging. I can try though.
Not really been up to much else. I'm getting back into cello, which is good, I need to be. I'm already last seat... man.... But I'm still on the outside, which I guess is better than not. *Shrug* I really need to go work on writing some more, though, so I'll update again soon. Hopefully. If my last updates are anything to go by, er, maybe not for a while.

10.23.04 @ 4:07PM - Three new gifts (one given to me by Shauna, and two I've sent... I think I have one more I need to put up that was given to me from Shauna, but I can't find it :S). New layout on DoaSO, too, if you're interested. Quite... leafy. Which is why version 11 of DoaSO is called exactly that, Leafy. Now, the last two updates, well, were never uploaded, so be sure to read them, too. @_@
Also, if you've ever wanted to learn some names of Spanish groceries, well, your wish has come true! O.o
I'm an orange belt now! No picture of me in karate atire (yet), but there are some new photos that were put up on the 17th.
Hmmm, I want to make a new layout for AW at some point, I'm getting pretty sick of this one, lol. I have some ideas, so we'll see. Maybe one more autumny layout before winter comes along. I do have a pretty picture I might use for winter.

10.20.04 @ 8:30PM - Due to my busy schedule, custom blinkie ordering is now closed. I'm sorry, but I need to concentrate on getting an A in geometry more than I need to make blinkies for people that I don't even know will link me or not. I'll try to get through the piled up orders in bits and pieces of my spare time, but I can't make promises, sorry.

10.17.04 @ 9:44AM - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELORIA! SIXTEEN! WHOOOOO!
I gotta stop updating in little spurts of nothing and wait until I actually have something. I'm feeling very very sad for my fan fiction readers, but I keep planning things on my weekends and since joining two writing groups, am feeling rather more creative with original fiction than fanon. I have written a few more paragraphs of both Switched and Side Effects - Switched has to be the next one updated - but I really am falling into a block for fan fiction. Hopefully I'll get a free moment sometime soon and think to open WordPerfect and write.
So... Halloween's just around the corner! Less than half a month, just two weeks. Suhweet, man. My costume's gonna rock... I'm a Slytherin student. I have all these Slytheriny things I'll put together and wear with a skirt and robe, and stripey socks and boots... tee hee. I'll take pictures. I actually have some new photos of me and stuff I own. See the two new photos in pets and a million newer ones in the me photos.

10.02.04 @ 1:08PM - Well dang. It's been forever and a day, and I haven't even uploaded anything since August 27th. This simply doesn't do.
So, hmm. The Sims 2 is really fun, if you have a really new computer. Otherwise, well, it's really slow. I got my computer Christmas of 2003. It's very slow. Quinn got his a month ago. It's very fast. O.o
To sum up the updates made since August 27th... two new dolls in casual, and updated bio.
Eloria's birthday is in half a month! *Does the woot dance* And Halloween's in 29 days!

09.19.04 @ 2:21PM - Wow, long time since a real update, huh? School's really made me busy lately - not that I'm complaining. I love seeing people every day, wearing different outfits (yeah, in case you don't know already, I love clothing), and I even like the at-least-a-third-of-a-mile walk both ways to and from health and choir, although the stairs are killers. It's amazing how much better this year has already been since 8th grade. *Dances* Eighth grade kind of seems like years ago, I've really adjusted fast to the new high school thing. It's all flying by though, it's kind of scary how fast time is going by.

School's been great so far, just pretty busy... lots of walking between classes involved, lol. But it's not horrible or anything. I'll probably get used to it really fast, it'll work out. ;) I would post the picture of my first-day outfit here, but my hair looked like crap, so no. I'm sure you're so very sad, haha.
So! DoaSO (my blog) is three years old today, and also hit 500 entries today. One-hundred was exciting, three-hundred was okay, four-hundred felt a bit excessive... but five-hundred. Man. I need to go find my life. I think I threw it out the window once and it never came back....
On another note, there are two new dolls in the casual section.

08.27.04 @ 12:12PM - A bunch of miscellaneous updating of things, as well as a lot of ditching unoriginal/unneeded stuff (wow, the 'you' section looks so much more orderly without all of the forwards and things, woot). I'm going to be coming up with more creative, unique stuff to fill the lost stuff's place, don't worry. :D
However, I did get a load of scanned drawings up onto the Artwork page, which has been switched around a bit. ^^ All new additions (even if the drawing itself is really old) are marked by a "NEW".

08.24.04 @ 12:12PM - I've honestly been thinking about updating AW every day, I just haven't. Honest. I've been occupied working on the Making Friends website and pondering the launch of Fogbutton Designs (don't bother clicking yet, it'll just redirect you to this site since I have no website up for it yet); that and the upcoming onslaught of school is enough to kind of fill up my free time. (Which, I might add, I am seeing disappear at quite a rapid rate as I prepare to start 9th grade in six days.)
Ashton and I made a Diaryland diaryring for CHS students, so if you go to our school, join up. :D Or something. O.o
Testing for yellow belt went great, I can't believe I was so worried about it. I broke a board man! That's awesome! I'll be getting my yellow belt either the 1st or the Monday after, which is pretty cool.
According to my Nedstat, which has been counting since February of 2003, AW has at last gone over 10,000 visits. Woot! It's pretty interesting, traffic has been going up lately and I'm unsure how. Still awesome, though. To see it for yourself, go to the main page and scroll down to the little blue image. That's a stats tracker, and clicking on it will show you AW's stats. :D
I really want to make a new layout for AW now... I don't like this layout as much anymore than I did when I made it. *Shrugs* I have a few interesting images I might use... we'll see. Should get Fogbutton up first.
I made a printable calendar for September, if you're interested. It's available in color and black and white. In the near future I will also be offering binder covers I've created that you can slip inside the clear part of your binder so it sticks out in a crowd. Themes will probably include lyrics in abundance.

I have several things I need to do - the rest of the Making Friends website, moving Hogwarts, changing this layout - that I'm going to attempt to do today and tomorrow. :D
Ugh, my joined page is in utter disrepair... and I can't get to thefanlistings to see where the things moved to or if they moved at all. Would be great if they all e-mailed you to tell you when they moved, huh?
Know what's cool... I've gotten three phone calls between yesterday and the day before. Three. From two different people. I feel so loved, hehe.
So... I'm finding new music. Discovering one might say. I mean, most of it is not exactly new, I've just never paid attention to it. *Grins* And Monk is on tonight. Sweet. Granted, I need to watch the tape of last week's episode first... and the same with Dead Zone and The 4400... but it's still really cool. So now I have three shows I try to follow and one cartoon I try to see whenever they decide to play an episode of that. Kinda neat, mon.
Herd 100 was alright - I've met new people, and there was a cute guy. *Grins* Several actually. Good to know. ;)
So where've I been? What've I been doing? Writing. Dolling, writing, blinkie-making (somewhat) and being a general annoyance with DoaSO's suddenly common updates. I was really bored without being able to update any of my websites, heh.
So, the updates? Eleven new dolls (check the 'casual' and 'me' pages only), but you'll have seen all of the good ones if you're a DoaSO reader. Updated the blinkie customs ordering page, and there are eighteen new blinkies - five unadoptable customs, three on page 14, two new names on page 13, and a whole new page devoted to HP pairings (mainly slash, though, so be forewarned). One new poem, 'Puppet Strings', which you'll have already had access to if you're a DoaSO reader. (The benefits of being so, heh, getting stuff like that early, I suppose.) I also wrote my first drabble, and a short story, which is another DoaSO post. (Sheesh.)
Also... I've started to post an archive of my fan fiction here in case FFN suspends me again. Check it out here, just remember that 90% of it is slash.

That's a total of 23 blinkies, 17 of which are adoptable. :)

A few things. One, I updated Switched (HPSS Potter slash, all warnings apply)! Yay! Two, I have a new yearbook page for the 2003-04 school year.
Don't forget about the 2000th visitor prize! Or the contests! Lots of chances to be linked, win a prize.... :)
On another note, I am planning to do a lot of clipping and reshaping of this site this summer. I am going to be learning ColdFusion from my dad and will be upping the interactivity. I want to get rid of the junk you can find other places (like the forwards. You can find them everywhere else, I don't need 'em) and have more original content. I want to learn enough ColdFusion to make some quizzes and allow visitors to direct-link the images, you know - the kind that you see in blogs and stuff all the time, and change my quizzed page so it's only my quizzes. ;) I also want to split up the 'You' Section into a few more specific ones... possibly a make section and a do section. And I also want to make the subsites their own spot in the navigation, not just squeeze them onto the the me and you menus. I'll think of some catchy name for them soon. I have some notes saved from classes I want to type up, mainly for myself actually, it's harder to misplace them when they're on my own website, lol.
Thus, you'll probably see a lot changing here in the near future. You know, aside from blinkies, I like AIM icons (and icons in general, hehe), I might get into making them... but I dunno, they seem to screw up a lot, like 50x50 size is too big for pixel images. Dunno, I'll check it out. Oh, and graphic art... I seem to have developed some odd style of my own that I like, lol, I might dabble in that too. We'll see.
Big plans for the future in any case.

06.04.04 @ 10:04 - I practiced some more karate. I know form one, I feel so proud, hehe. I'm color-coding the homework sheet too. I've had one class and I already love it. I just don't understand what Quinn's problem is. Just laziness, I guess. I want to buy some cardstock and make a poster of phoenetically-spelled (er... sp? Lol) Korean terms and what they mean. Like ko-mop - er. ko-mop... dangit. THAT is why I need a poster of phoenetically-spelled Korean terms, lol. I know "pro" means return. There's something else that means ready stance, and another meaning kick stance. And the numbers I should learn as well. Hehe.
I drew a kinda cool picture during English presentations yesterday. I might scan it and post it, I'm a bit proud of it even if it is really weird-looking. Which reminds me, I need some more scrap paper for doodles. It's getting more and more important with less homework I can do while they're talking, y'know. Two and a half school days and I'm free.

Eighth grade was WAY too short.
I mean, seriously. I compare everything to seventh grade because, well, that was a great year, and I think, "whoa, so-and-so-seventh-grade-activity just happened and now I'm doing so-and-so-same-eighth-grade-activity." It's so weird.
Oh, and did you see that news thingy about outsourcing in India? It was really interesting. I think they're replaying it on the Discovery Channel on Wednesday. It kinda makes me feel stupid - Americans are so snobby and impatient. They train Indians to speak like Americans to work in huge phone call centers. Yes, it makes money in a country that desperately needs it - but wow. They need to be trained to speak Americanish because we don't want other accents answering our support calls. That's kinda sad. We are such narrow-minded people. :S
Let's see... well, I do believe I've run out of stuff to ramble about. I really need to stop using this as a blog and use it strictly for updates again.
Oh, and if you're an AHer and freaking because I didn't update Sunday - I had a mondo English assignment due Wednesday. I couldn't for the life of me do such trivial things as eating, sleeping, and updating AH, sorries. ;P

06.03.04 @ 5:05PM - Finished that To Kill a Mockingbird report, I hope to put it up here after the school year ends. Don't want anyone from 8W handing in my work while school's still in session. :P I have a few more reports I want to put up here too, I might make myself a minisite of homework assignments. I'd have to research safeproofing them though. I have some pretty stupid but somewhat funny ideas that I can't really reveal here, but yeah.
I started karate. It is so. Cool. I'm a white belt. I know that's laughable :P, but soon I'll be a yellow belt. Two months. Then another two months and I'll be orange. Wheeeee. There's another Lambertonite there that I'd never met before (two grades below me) and a 9th grader who was on my bus last year, it's neat to know someone other than mum and Q, hehe.
Well, since I have bedtimes ( :P ) I must go. Night! :)

05.28.04 @ 10:20PM - Of course I couldn't stick to that horrid schedule. I'm almost done with the part II summary of TKAM, but I do know three reasonable themes, have an idea for the poem, and have half of the key quotes done. Blah, I have loads more to get done. I'm leaving the stuff I don't need notes for for later.
Hershey Park trip is tomorrow. Cannot wait. Kinda nervous, though, I don't know who I'll stick with, I really don't want to be wandering around by my lonesome. No fun in that, even if you disregard the fact that I get overly nervous when I, for example, order food. Lol. I am so weird.
Yearbooks were given out today! I'll be making a yearbook page like last year, listing everyone who signed my yearbook, and some memorable signings. *smiles* May list a few more people I want to get signatures from though; some ACT people, a few teachers, a few guys. ;P What can I say, there are a lot of awesome people on 8W, lol. Just not making that page this weekend. Or doing anything really, I need to work on TKAM. I may or may not get to Hogwarts, but I have reason, you know? Just think, this workload will only get worse.
Gah.
But I'm a little prepared. If I work all day on Sunday and Monday, that's still a normal weekend's worth of work done. And then I have about five hours on Tuesday, but I'll have to finish the math practice problems too. I'll be doing my final a day late, since I was absent for a few math classes. That's three this week - orchestra, sickness, and ACT. Woot.
Hey, do I seem like a workaholic? :P I must be a pretty lazy workaholic, lol. I was playing Sims for an hour or so this afternoon, it was fun. I guess that's what you normal people (who's that?) out there call 'doing something fun'. I just call it laziness. Hmm.
I should probably be making a new layout once 8th grade ends (I mean, this one is about 2 1/2 months old... but I do so love it, lol), but I may let that wait a bit, I really do need to continue working on the Making Friends site. My job. Hehe. Haven't had much time because of school. I hope to finish that before the summer vacation ends, and teach my client (hehe) how to update it on her own. Going for a somewhat simple but professional design that will work in all browsers at screen resolutions 800x600 and up, as well as for dialup users. Those are specifics to keep in mind for a professional/business site, you know. :)
That's about it for now. I added a new little list at the top of the 'You' section, just to bring attention to my subsites. I like my subsites, I plan to maybe make one or two more this summer, cliques or something. I'll think about it, I don't know if I'm up to owning a clique, especially if I were to update it by hand. Possibly one run with CF, when I learn how. And I will continue Margin Man! soon, I've been coming up with all sorts of sensationally crazy-hyper ideas of where to take Margin Man and his XPoo. And I've been coming up with Margin Man! "merchandise" too, hehe, adoptable images for thou to enjoy. I'll get to making and uploading them this summer.

Wednesday. Begin part II summary; begin plot triangle; do makeup POD homework.
Thursday. Finish reading TKAM; finish part II summary; do Spanish homework.
Friday. Complete plot triangle; name and explain two key quotes; name and explain three themes.
Saturday. Go to Hershey Park with orchestra unless it RAINS in which case we're just out of luck, no reschedule; write poetry on the way there (er... yeah. Because I care. Actually, I do have to write my own poem unless I can't find a song appropriate to a theme. I probably will write it because I have a really good idea); on way back, do any POD homework that doesn't involve a book. I can copy math problems or something to practice.
Sunday. Name and explain two more key quotes; write 5-7 sentences about each character; write the diary entry from Scout or Jem's point of view; any POD homework I didn't already complete.
Monday (no school). All else; design cover; design and art contained in portfolio.
GAH. That looks like so so much I need to do. But I'm determined to stick to it, I really need that good grade. I mean, I know I'm an overachiever... that was proven when I got 113.5% on the poetry anthology... but it's all getting ready for high school, you know. I'll have to do a lot harder of stuff. I'm glad I'm in ACT too, writing these 10-page reports, even if it's 10 pages defining me - it's practice.
Well, if all else fails and my family disowns me, at least I'll get into a good college. ^^

04.17.04 @ 8:58AM - Yesss, I'm putting off my homework until mum and Quinn get home from the karate testing in the afternoon. Peace and quiet for five hours, it's magnifique. I have a whole load of homework that I should be doing, eight or nine different pages of things. I figure that if I finish everything except my weaving today and practice cello, I'll be set.
Monday's Quiz Bowl day. I think it's the last one. Thank god that it's not the one on TV, lol. I still have no idea whatsoever how I made it on the Quiz Bowl team.
On the 13th, one of my teachers went and told my class about my website, so I've been a little wary of updating. I hate being seen as a geek, I'm really not one of those people who, like, can confuse someone just by talking about computers or who subscribes to X-Treme Geek Catalog (yeah, that's my dad). I'm just a girl, mon. Admittedly a geekette, but that's vastly different from a geek, you know? (I don't.)
It's neat, that little counter thing I put up about a week ago is already up to 186 visitors as I'm writing this. *Grins*
I was trying to make a new layout, but I like this one too much. I want to try some new things with image maps before making a new one. I think I may put my practice layouts into the free layouts section, some of them are pretty neat. So stay tuned for them, lol.
I was thinking about stuff I'll offer customly this summer, and made a big long list, including buttons, banners, mini adoptions, blinkies, icons (AIM, MSN, LJ), and vector images [possibly, need to get better acquainted with FreeHand first], as well as some random collectables. I've decided that all custom images I make this summer will have my url on them. I'm tired of people ripping me off when I make them customs. I'm also going to require that they link me before I make them graphics. I've had a few people give me URLs to sites that aren't theirs in order to get blinkies from me. Grrrrr, mon. Oh, and in order to get proper credit, I may make a page that links to people who've gotten my customs; if they take my custom down (or the link), then I will stop linking to them; if they only take the link down I'll add their e-mail to the wall of shame. That way I'd have more inbound links (hehehe). I may also decide just to make a list and monitor it regularly (or hire someone with loads of free time to do so? Lol), that way I wouldn't be linking to sites which may or may not have PG-rated content which I cannot control. And people wouldn't request something just to have a link. ^^"

So. I got a new bureau. It's taller than my old one, and now the shelf above it is squished, but I love it. It's got five drawers instead of three (meaning I had an extra one after putting my jeans in [which were previously a mess on the floor], so I made the top one a makeup drawer holding all my nail polish). I'll take a picture of it soon, along with my newly-cleaned room. And Quinn's newly cleaned room. Spent an hour and a half yesterday helping mum literally shovel legos and k'nex into white buckets that used to hold cat litter. We have zillions of them, and they're nice for storing things, so we always use them for Quinn's room, the attic stuff, and Christmas ornaments. We wash them out first of course. :P
Oh, and I'm getting new carpetting this summer. Hehehe. Goodbye, fabric-paint-blotchy-fuzz-collecting-carpet! Muahaha!

This four-day spring break (six-day if you count my NYC trip and sick day... heh heh) has given me a taste of free time which I will sorely miss. I can't wait for summer vacation. This summer, some things I want to accomplish are:
1) learn ColdFusion, at least the basics; 2) learn some basic PHP scripting (PHP is awesome, have you seen some of the things people can do with them?); 3) learn Flash (I was thinking original Flash games and activities here would be pretty dang cool, lol... the program can also be used to make some pretty neat vector arts, which is something I really do want to get into); 4) learn to do blends and seamless tile backgrounds; 5) offer a larger variety of custom graphics; 6) incorporate some javascripting into this site to make it a bit more sophisticated; 7) write tutorials for these things one I learn them. XD
If all those different programming languages seem far-fetched to try for to you, you're probably not someone who knows about competition in the web design field, lol. I want to learn all I can as early as I can - being afraid of some language I don't know will be a worse obstacle later than sooner.
Of course, more will be added to that list eventually, but those are the things really pulling on me at the moment.

Oh, and yes, I am going to do some pretty shameless things that I know will raise my traffic this summer - namely, joining a few handfuls of more listings/fanlistings, signing guestbooks, putting those little quizzes on my site. I won't do them badly though, I see no point in putting something on my site if I didn't at least try to make it presentable. And I'll be clipping some content too - namely some forwards and random crap here and there, reorganize it a bit.
I mentioned in the last blog about other custom image services I may be offering this summer - that, to be specific, will probably include AIM icons, MSN and livejournal icons, and smallish dolls. I was pondering some crazy little system for it, but with AH, I don't want to make my summer busy. After all, I might have a job... woot.
I have a zillion poems and short stories I've been needing to add to the writing index, whoops. That's what I'm doing now.
So, eleven new poems (I now have a total of 82 poems archived here, sheesh) - 'At Dusk', 'Break Free', 'Class', 'Die', 'Ghost', 'Immune', 'Imply', 'Let Me Be Me', 'Mask', 'Morning', and 'Tired'. Also, there's a new short story - Typewriter. Wrote it yesterday.

Yes, musical practices are over - it's truly saddenning (sp?), I miss it already - but soon my time will be used on other musically-related activities of sorts. Coming up are the Cantate concert (May 8th) for which I practice once a week until then (gah, 7 practices @_@ hey, it's a challenge), the school concerts for both WMS (just orchestra) and LMS (orchestra and choir... I have a duet part in the Spanish song, suhweet), and the All-Orchestra-Concert on Ara's bday. And speaking of Ara, I REALLY have to work on her gift, it's not the type of thing you put no effort into like last year's gift or Christmas'. *Grins* That's what she's going to like about it, muahaha. And it can be added to with time, hehe.
I've been thinking about my layout. I like it muchly, I was thinking that I could make another version or two with the same basic idea, just slightly different colors and images, and skin the site. Of course, I have no idea how to do this (wanna tell me?), but I can dream, lol. It's probably a bit beyond my Dreamweaver, image map, and basic html/css knowledge.
There's some more web stationary... like three more or something... I forget what all I did on the 18th. Probably not that much, that was the day of the final musical performance. (*Sniffs*)
I was thinking about ways I can boost traffic to here. (Yessss, it's not a major issue, I'll still ramble whether anyone reads it or not, but I think of visitors as an accomplishment, lol.) I'm going to go about joining a few good listings and fanlistings. I think I'll stick away from the hatelistings (unless there's an Anti-Bush one? Hmm, tempting) though, it seems like such a waste of energy to join and entire site of people who don't like something, don't you think?
Also on that list is to make more attractive link buttons. I swear, I'll get on it soon. Really.
This summer, if I find I have much free time (after all, I'll have AH, karate, and a job... *dances*), I may expand my custom image-making a bit, but it will likely die in August, in preparation for school. I do enjoy being put to the challenge when creative people request custom blinkies though. And it's practice. And it's something that attracts visitors, lmao.
Oh, and surveys and quizzes. I'm going to learn how to do both this summer. I've already started the first step toward making a survey with a database (a "How Well Do You Know Adrienne" quiz, of course), which is making the html form. Didn't get much further than that. And I have a few ideas for quizzes, none of which I'll mention here. It'd be great for my time and portfolio to know how to automate things.
And, as it's almost ten and I need to "go to bed" and sneak off to read for a few hours, I will ramble again soon!

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but last weekend I went on a doll-adopting spree, the results of which you can find here. And I got the blinkies that weren't loading up - sorry about that!!

02.06.04 @ 10:36AM - Ugh, I feel like crap. So tired. Stupid LMS cancelled again (so now we're up to a week of school to be made up. Hello school in July.), so now the only practice the orchestra has for POPS (which is tomorrow! Ahh!) is the morning of the concert, for about an hour. Gahhh.
Turned in my high school course selection stuff, I'm taking Spanish II and combination orchestra/choir. They asked for courses I would like to take if either one that I picked can't be arranged, so I was a devious little Slytherin and said the first one that they should change, if I can't get into it, is Spanish II (changed to Latin I), and since they've said everyone always gets their first choice language, I'm not going to have to change courses. They wouldn't change me anyway, lol, I've passed Spanish I with flying colors, and the choir sent me a letter asking me to please "consider joining" concert choir because I was listed as an "advanced student" - woooooot!
Anywho, I've made this big long list of stuff I want to add to AW, but am feeling too crappy to do any of it. I want to learn some PHP from Dad so that I can do some automated surveys, for one thing. I did write a page of "ideas", although it's not what you find on every site, and if you're looking for actual ideas, it won't help you, lol. Mine's about originality.
Also, I've added a notice on the blinkies index about the use of my blinkies - do to abuse, my blinkies are not permitted to be used on forums, in e-mails, or on profiles.

Joined a bunch of cliques and listings yesterday, as well as making a new self-portrait doll (which I think is okay... need to learn how to use actual patterns though, lol) which is in the special section of my dolls pages. That's about it, actually. I was more into updating AH.

02.01.04 @ 11:29PM - Changed a ton of direct-linked images - I made a page with info about direct-linking, too. *Giggles* Check out this, it's the place that had been direct-linking (and stealing the code of!!) my Elemental layout. Haha. I must say, it's fun to screw over people who don't read rules and who steal my bandwidth, they only bring it upon themselves. :P
Also made a screenshot of this Sprinter layout for the sitey page. Not like you need to know though, lol, that's the layout that's up now.

01.28.04 @ 8:35PM - Hey everyone! Today has brought tons of new poetry (I will definitely need to organize it sometime soon, cough...) written during POD. Though rather... erm... pessimistic, I believe this new poetry is worth a look. Ten poems today. O.o (You can read them here - they are: Absorbed, Death, Let Go, Lost, Never Home, Obstacle, Outlined, Shell, Shine, and Unjust.)
Also, new blinkies! I've done quite a number of customs in the past few days, and that's mainly what's here.
Soon I am hoping to scan a LOT of drawings from my sketchbook and back/margins of school notes... lots of people, quite a few Potter characters, and some funky little doodles. I'll save that for a weekend or Friday (not this Friday though... lol) sometime, though. Also, to go along with that, I want to upload a bunch of photos here, but that can also wait for a rainy day. Or this summer. Lol.

01.22.04 @ 5:22PM - I've gotten behind on blinkie orders and since it's a free service that I give, I figure that I can still take my time. I'm just so busy. My science fair project ("How Are Students' Grades Affected by Their Lifestyle?") is due tomorrow, I need to decide what courses I'll be taking when I become Freshman Adrienne (that's pretty scary, lol), I'm going back to the theatre to meet Karisa on Saturday, and then Sunday AH is scheduled to return. If you're an AH-er, I NEED TRIVIA!! Specifically, for the books and subjects like COMC, Divination, and DATDA (the subjects that don't use competitions, if you can remember which ones those are. I sure can't.) - so if you could e-mail them to me before the 25th, I'd be ever so happy.

01.18.04 @ 10:29PM - Yep, new layout. Still don't like it very much, it's simpler than Elemental was and I hate the colors. I have a neat idea for a new layout, but I dunno if I'll ever have the time/abilities to make it, what with the POPS concert in less than three weeks and musical rehearsals at least twice a week until March... but hey, you never know. The Pinchot Group got someone else for webmaster who's got more credentials than me [read: is older than me] to run their site, so I won't have that taking up my free time. They don't know what they lost, lol, I don't think they every saw my design for their site. If you look up "governor pinchot group sierra club" on Google you get my page for it before anyone else's, even the REAL site, haha. Shows how much more I could've done for them, being experienced with Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Photoshop. But hey. I won't dwell on it - other opportunities will come along with people who just want a good webmaster and don't judge a person just because that person is younger than they are. :P
So... changed around the link exchanges, added some survey plugs, and have been toying with the idea of making more AIM icons. We'll see. I updated my About Moi page too (now it's all touching and autobio-ish). Squee. Ta!

Eight or nine new blinkies, I forget, all name blinkies. The new style that I've been playing with on the name blinkies is called 'wave', I'll soon make it an option on the custom blinkie request page.

I have this huge list of fairly common names for both guys and girls... I've been going through this list. There's at least 200 names left on it. Lol... so I may be turning out more name blinkies than anything else in the near future. Hey, if you have a request though, go ask for it! They're my priority with blinkies. ;)
