Summary: Another
book by gURL.com, The Looks Book focuses more on informing its
readers about how others see you and how to take care of your body than
Deal With It! does. It also informs its readers on the whys and
why nots of makeup, fashion, and a lot more. Included is a section about
how to 'change your look'.
The book itself has a bright and colorful design and is full-color throughout
the book.
Review: I loved this book. The writers do a very good job of informing you and at the same time keeping you interested, something that not a lot of books of its nature can manage to do. I particularly loved all the little pieces of trivia-like information that is slipped in, such as who first used and made popular the 'draped-over-one-eye' hairstyle (Veronica Lake) and just general information about what people of different cultures/religions do with different aspects of their bodies. Ok, so maybe that didn't make much sense, but I really really enjoyed the book. :)
