Summary: Ella is cursed with a fairy's blessing - the 'gift' of obedience. She must avoid being taken advantage of, as she must follow any and every order that is given to her. As she battles the challenges that come after the death of her mother, she attempts to track down her fairy to break her curse so that she can marry a prince.
Review: A fairly quick read, this retelling of Cinderella is the type of book that can get you reading again after a period of booklessness. (And that's exactly what it did for me, whoo.) It's an easy read, too, with a lower reading level than what I usually have my nose in, but it was worth it - Levine has an enchanting style of writing that kept me interested.
