About Pre-made Blinkie Usage

Do I have to link you?
Yes. I made the blinkie, and I expect you to respect my simple terms - and yes, if you don't understand them, ask me about them; if you don't follow them, you're an idiot.

Can I link you on a credits/thank you/some page other than the one the blinkie's displayed on?
I'd prefer it if you didn't - the proper way to credit ANY image maker is with either a link directly below the image, or by linking the image itself. If you don't know how to do this, visit my Simple HTML page.

Can I use your blinkies on forums?
From now on, I do not permit people to use my blinkies on forums or in forum signatures. The majority of people that do this feel that they are above my terms, and either don't credit me, direct-link the image, or in most cases, both.

Can I use your blinkies in AIM profiles/any other profiles?
No. Read the above for more information.

Can I use your blinkies on Neopets?
No.

Can I use your blinkies in my e-mail signatures?
No.

Can I use your blinkies in my blog?
This has several parts to it.
If you only use the blinkie in one entry (and have it on your own space!), you can just link the image to me.
If you use the blinkie in many entries, link me in the layout... "so-and-so blinkie by ¡Adriennewolter.com!"
If you use the image as an avatar, which I would prefer if you didn't, link me in the layout and in your profile.

Can I use your blinkies on my personal site?
Yes! As long as you follow all of my rules, you are free to do so.

I had your image on my website, and now it's turned into a different image! You suck!
Unfortunately, if this happens, you stole my bandwidth, and as that is the same thing as stealing my money, I turned your cute little blinkie into an advertisement for my site. Free advertisement is hard to come by, y'know.

Where do I send the form?
Please send it to adrienne@cniche.com. Don't I make this obvious enough or something?

I requested a blinkie in your guestbook and you haven't made it yet! What's wrong?
I don't answer requests in my guestbook. If you can't be bothered to e-mail me, I shan't be bothered to reply, lol. :P

How many blinkies can I request at once?
One at a time. If you request more I might get annoyed and purposely put off replying (because this is a hobby, not a paid job, and I can never trust people to actually credit the blinkies they request, many just use me), and it might take longer anyway because I have to finish both before responding.

How long do you take to respond to orders?
Well, sometimes two weeks, but that's about as high as I try to let it go off. If you need something by a certain date, order it early - people wanting "urgent" blinkies really get on my nerves. If you wait two weeks with no response, ask where it is. The e-mail back to you might have bounced, in which case I won't try extra hard to reach you.

Do I have to link custom requests?
YES! Not only did I make it, but I made it for YOU, and therefore deserve credit!

You e-mailed me and told me you wouldn't make a blinkie for me. Why not??
Well, there are a few reasons this could be. One might be, you chose the most complicated style of blinkie and want something that's twenty or thirty letters long. You're demanding too much of me that way. I only make complicated blinkies like that for myself.
Another could be because of your site - if you've direct-linked me in the past, or already have my blinkies on your site without credit, I will never make a blinkie for you. That's just abusing my *free* service.
Or, if on your site, you use a zillion of images by other people and don't give them credit... I'm not stupid.
Oh, and if you request something identical to a blinkie already available, I'm not making another one, duh.

Why do I have to give you my site URL on the form?
Because, where else are you going to put it? I have a right to check back and see if you are using the blinkie without linking me, don't I?
