Blake's
Flakes: The Merpeople's Candy of Choice
By Telyn Timber
The
merpeople have long loved Blake's Flakes, the soggy bite-size green flakes
that come in oyster shells. Now the rest of the Wizarding World can too!
Blake's Flakes are now available to all landlubbers by special order through
Honeydukes. Each oyster shell pouch (7 sickles) of Blake's Flakes will
continue to come in its assorted trademark flavors Creamy Crab, Slamming
Salmon, Caesar Sea Cucumber, Sea Weed Pie, and Land-Salt Taffy. With the
new landlubber audience in mind, the founder Leira Blake has created the
new flavors Rusty Hooks and Fish Food to replace the popular flavor Squeamish
Squid that has recently been discontinued due to threatening thrashings
at the tentacles of an unnamed-for-legal-purposes Scottish Giant Squid.
Preliminary testing suggests that consumption of the gummy/cereal Blake's
Flakes by non-merpeople causes growth of scales along the legs and improves
swimming capabilities that may last up to 2 hours.

Lava
Flow
By SpinningJ
This chocolate is quite unique. Shaped like a small mountain,
it is a combination of dark, milk and white chocolate for the shell, and
a warm liquid interior. The exterior is exquisitely designed, with color
variations and a white chocolate “snow cap.” While beautiful
to look at, the sensation is surprisingly unexpected. As soon as the candy
reaches body temperature, the “lava” center flows into the
mouth, coating it with liquid chocolate.
Price: 1 Sickle each.

Lilac
Love Drops
By Dragon_Princess
These tasty little morsels are small little chocolates about the size
of the fingernail on your pinkie finger. They are shaped as tiny, brown
flower buds and come in small velvety dark red bags. If a wizard or witch
receives these chocolate flowers from somebody who truly cares for them,
the buds will bloom and the chocolate will turn a lovely dark purple.
If you receive a bag of these flowery delights without true feelings from
the sender, the flower buds will melt in your hand- leaving a gooey reminder
of an unsentimental sender. Even though the candy melts, some wizards
have been known to lick the chocolate off their hands. This is probably
because lilac love drops are almost irresistibly scrumptious. Many love
sick witches and wizards have been known to buy great amounts of chocolate
to send to their lovers, and end up eating it all. However, since this
candy is so pleasing to the tongue, and since it is very popular (especially
on Valentine’s Day) prices have soared to outrageous amounts. The
cheapest that lilac love drops that have been found were sold at nearly
50 Galleons a bag. One muggle found half a bag of these delicate chocolates
and was so inspired that he created chocolate flowers of his own, though
it never came close to the appeal of lilac love drops.
Lollipop
of Lurve
By Gwyn Llyn
Three
licks from this strawberry flavored delight and your besotted eyes will
lock on the best person for you within a 20 ft. radius. Your heart will
pitter-patter and your eyes will go dreamy with adoration for the one
you see. The effects of the lurve will last anywhere from 3 to 6 hours,
at which time you will return to your senses. Highly popular around the
muggle holiday of Valentine's Day, this confection can be found only in
the wizarding world.
This lollipop
is heart-shaped, with colors ranging from the lightest pink to the deepest
red and everything in between. Instead of the usual plain stick, this
one has an arrow shape. It is approximately 6 inches long in total, and
sells for 3 Sickles a piece.

Magical
Candy Hearts
By Ecko Milicent
These Magical Candy Hearts were used to make a person like you. They were
usually bought on Valentine's Day. The Candy Hearts were about 1 inch.
The Magical Candys had alot of flavors just like Berti Botts every flavored
beans. Candy Hearts were famous in the 1800s because a favorite author,
Sean Krafty, ate them. It was a big surprise, it was in the Daily Prophet
everywhere. Soon it became illegal because the Minister ate one and the
wrong person started liking him.

Magic
Chocolate
By Ecko Milicent
Magic Chocolate was made in 1628 in France. This Magic
Chocolate does all kinds of magic (no magic that can hurt you though),
they're like flavors but they're not. It started out popular but in 1648
something bad happened. A person who helped make these got mad at the
owner and did a killing curse. The next week 100 people were killed by
Magic Chocolate. The company ran out of money because people stoped buying
them. Now its very rare to find Magic Chocolate. In 1798 someone found
on of these Magic Chocolate and started making them again. Now they have
become very popular.

Screwners
By Telyn Timber
The Screwner's appearance is similar in size and shape
to that of its inspiration: the Muggle contraption called a 'light bulb.'
Screwners are made of three parts: a tinted transparent outer layer similar
to a lollipop, a glowing chewy candy center, and a high in sugar deactivating
base which looks like the screw part of a light bulb. After paying the
six Sickles for the treat one starts to eat it as one would a lollipop,
licking the top and holding the sugar base. The lollipop section makes
the eater glow florescent pink, orange, neon green, or yellow based upon
the flavor: strawberry, pumpkin, sour apple, and cream respectively. After
the sucker portion is finished, the glowing chewy center, which makes
the Screwner look like it is lit up, allows the eater to lighten up even
more by making you float as long as you chew it. The secret recipe is
said to include billywigs. By eating the last part of the Screwner, the
sugary deactivating base, the eater can cancel the effects of the candy:
perfect for denying having had it. And although there is no more floating
involved, there is still the sugar buzz.
Warning:
Be responsible when eating/floating. Stay away from Muggles, as they tend
to mistake Screwner-chewers as fairies, aliens, or other such hallucinations.
We find it funny. The Ministry does not. Nor will you when you get their
fine.
Avoid floating
over sharp objects. When gravity kicks in, it's worse than splinching.

Smelly
Beans For All Time
By Ecko Milicent
This candy called Smelly Beans was made by the earliest Witches and Wizards.
These candies have different kinds of smells just like Bertie Botts Every

eggs. These Beans are about 1 inch long and 1 inch wide, and they're all
the same color, white. Some of them smells sure can knock the person who's
eating them out.
Now we have to talk about the taste. There are only few flavors, Bubble
Gum, Root Beer, Cookie Dough, Strawberry, Windex (don't worry it can't
kill you), Salt, Vinegar, Chocolate, and our favorite, Cream Chowder.
The people who make these magnificent candies are plaing to have more
flavors by 2006.

Tortilli
By Piper Crescent
Shaped like a turtle, these candies have a dark chocolate
outer shell with caramel eyes and inside. They are approximately the size
of a snitch. The taste is quite unbelievable as the outer shell has a
crunch to it while the inside melts in your mouth. Upon opening the package
(they come four to a pack) the tortilli candies will start crawling then
the head and arms disappear into the inner shell. The muggles do have
a candy that resembles ours though theirs is much less creative. Their
version has regular chocolate, nuts, and caramel but do not move. Theirs
also do not have the detailed appearance as ours does. They call their
version "Turtles". For a sickle a pack these will truly become
your favorite Honeydukes candy!
